UPU Congress Invitation

Royal Mail approached 400 to create a graphic style for a reception they were hosting at the Universal Postal Union Congress in Geneva.

Following the release of a set of stamps to celebrate the centenary of Ian Fleming's birth, James Bond was the chosen theme of the event, and this needed to be reflected in the invitation design.

A custom manila envelope format with a magnetic closure was created, and handstamps designed to add further authenticity to the 'mission brief'-type document. The event details were printed on the inside faces of the envelope which also contained a presentation pack of the Fleming stamps as a further indication of the theme of the party.
