The Crescent

Engle Architects asked 400 to design and produce a document for their next bid document which would compliment their vision. The main concept of their design focused on a crescent shape which would become the hub of the redevelopment. 400 reflected this theme by using a simple graphic curve which was embossed and die-cut into a natural board folder with white foil blocked type. Also echoed in the photography, image that concentrated on crescent shapes within the surrounding environment were used throughout. Complimenting the design was a sans serif typeface consisting of pure, curved letter forms.

The mixed-use focus of Engle's proposal was reflected with a vibrant, clear document featuring full-bleed imagery, textures and colour-coded transparent dividers to aid navigation. This gave the document a consistent flow which ensured it was easy to read and coherent throughout.
