Hardwicke 30th birthday event
To mark their 30th birthday, Hardwicke chose to host a private view at the Wallace Collection and asked 400 to design an invitation that reflected the grandeur of the sumptuous London townhouse which houses the display.
The design features a French eighteenth-century painting from the Collection which conveys a sense of fun for the occasion. Produced as a poster, the format is as engaging and memorable as the content, transforming the invitation itself into a piece of art. Gold foil-blocking adds to the feeling of opulence and highlights the significance of the celebration.

Hardwicke rebranding
Hardwicke Building appointed 400 to develop a new brand identity that would improve their image and positioning to help achieve their ambitious business goals.
Renaming the firm Hardwicke was the first step in the development of a strategy that lead to a complete overhaul of their brand style, approach and tone of voice. A bolder colour palette, tightened logotype and a stronger typographic style improved legibility and clearly defined their ambitions across all applications.

Hardwicke brand development
Following the rebranding of Hardwicke, we were asked to reinforce the chambers' new identity with a portfolio of photography for use throughout their communication materials. We were keen to avoid stereotypical corporate imagery and after exploring how best to convey their forward-thinking attitude, ethos and experience, we developed a concept that captured how Hardwicke people 'stood out from the crowd'.
A series of shots were delivered that struck the right balance between approachability and professionalism, suggested their areas of expertise and captured the chambers' values. The shots were then retouched to pick out the area of focus in Hardwicke Red as a subtle highlight in keeping with the understated nature of their brand style. Visit the site.
