To accompany the new mapping vouchers that Anquet released, 400 were given the challenge of creating a 8 page A5 brochure to communicate the numerous product features, and explain the benefits of the voucher approach to digital mapping.
We were also given a 2 page spread in which we were briefed to create something that would highlight all the copy in a visual manner. Instead of using screen shots that take an edge off the impact of the design, or using a table to demonstrate the practical benefits in a mundane fashion, we decided to create easily identifiable icons that would sit on an opaque map background. These icons were accompanied by small text boxes, which were linked up in a logical fashion exactly as one would plot waypoints and form a route within the software.
